Who we are

NeedEverything Communities is a South African platform for running online communities. It lets anyone start a community, and lets a community owner charge a monthly membership fee.

Your account

• You need a working email address, and you must confirm it before you can post, join or create a community.
• You are responsible for what is posted from your account.
• We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or the law. Where we do, the reason is recorded.

Communities you run

• You decide your community’s rules, and you are responsible for moderating it.
• You must own or have permission to use anything you post, including images.
• You can transfer a community to somebody else, or close it. Closing a paid community runs a wind-down: existing members keep access until the end of the period they have already paid for.

Money

Payments have not been switched on yet. When they are, these are the terms that will apply:

• Membership prices are set by the community owner, in South African rand, between R 20,00 and R 50 000,00 per month.
• The platform keeps 20% of each payment. The creator receives 80%.
• Paystack’s processing fee comes out of the platform’s 20%, not the creator’s 80%.
• The rate that applies to a community is fixed when its paid tier is created. A later change to the platform’s share does not alter an existing community’s rate.
• The creator’s share is settled by Paystack directly to the creator’s own subaccount. It does not pass through a platform balance.
• Payment card details are handled by Paystack. We never see or store a card number.
• Membership renews monthly until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next charge; access runs to the end of the period already paid for.

The refund window, and what happens to a creator’s share when a payment is refunded after Paystack has already settled it, are still being finalised with Paystack and are not stated here yet rather than guessed at.

What is not allowed

• Anything illegal in South Africa.
• Harassment, hate speech, or content that sexualises children.
• Charging for something you do not deliver.
• Attempting to bypass a community’s paywall, or helping others do so.

Availability

This is a new platform under active development. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and features described elsewhere on the site may change or be withdrawn.

Changes

We will post changes here. If a change affects money — fees, payouts, refunds — we will email affected creators before it takes effect.
